Free Speech On Immigration

Who knows if this is true or not, I guess it doesn’t matter. It states accurately, a well known fact.

Subject: New Immigrants
Newspapers simply won't publish letters to the editor which they either deem politically incorrect (read below) or which don't agree with the philosophy they're "pushing" on the public. This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published - but with your help it will get "published" via cyberspace!     From: "David LaBonte"     My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. So, I decided to "print" it myself by sending it out on the Internet. Pass it along if you feel so inclined.  Dave LaBonte (signed)     Written in response to a series of letters to the editor in the Orange County Register:

Beauty and the Beast

Once again I find myself responding to something I read. A lot lately has been made about Rosie O’Donnell taking over the television show “The View”. As for myself, I doubt I will be watching it again. The show did not only lean left, it was always teetering on the leftist cliff. Then in 2003 Elizabeth Hasselbeck came on the show. I had been a fan of hers from the reality show ‘Survivor”. To my delight, she wasn’t just nice to look at, but she was politically right. The article below states that she caused tension. Don’t you think a right-winger in lala land might do just that? Maybe there was tension because suddenly they had to hear an opinion that didn’t fall in line with their own.

Now let's look at the article below. Not one nice word about Hasselbeck. By reading that article you would think her to be an inarticulate teenager, when in fact, she is anything but that. Intelligently and articulately she  gives counterpoints to their leftist views. Now the truth is out, they only want one view, the leftist view. Often she is the lone voice of conservatism in a sea of liberals. If the writer of the article below thinks that when Elizabeth is outnumbered 4-1 it is she that needs quelling, then that writer just wants to hear no counterpoint to the liberal foolishness.

Not Yours To Give

"Not Yours To Give"

"Not Yours To Give"------------------------------------------------------------------------Originally published in "The Life of Colonel David Crockett," by Edward Sylvester Ellis.

Give"Col. David CrockettUS Representative from TennesseeOne day in the House of Representatives a bill was taken up appropriating money for the benefit of a widow of a distinguished naval officer. Several beautiful speeches had been made in its support. The speaker was just about to put the question when Crockett arose:"Mr. Speaker--I have as much respect for the memory of the deceased, and as much sympathy for the suffering of the living, if there be, as any man in this House, but we must not permit our respect for the dead or our sympathy for part of the living to lead us into an act of injustice to the balance of the living. I will not go into an argument to prove that Congress has not the power to appropriate this money as an act of charity. Every member on this floor knows it.We have the right as individuals, to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity; but as members of Congress we have no right to

What a Joke

I have seen some stupid things said by the terrorist and their allies, but this tops it all. Maybe it just tell us exactly what they think. They think our liberals and Israel are weak and will not fight them. I think the last few weeks have proved them wrong, at least about Israel. When it comes to the left in the USA, or anywhere else in the world, they are right.

AP News

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said in a TV interview aired Sunday that he would not have ordered the capture of two Israeli soldiers if he had known it would lead to such a war.
Hezbollah guerrillas killed three Israeli soldiers and seized two more in a cross-border raid July 12, which sparked 34 days of fighting that ended Aug. 14. Five other Israeli soldiers were killed as they pursued the militants back into Lebanon.
“We did not think, even 1 percent, that the capture would lead to a war at this time and of this magnitude. You ask me, if I had known on July 11 ... that the operation would lead to such a war, would I do it? I say no, absolutely not,” he said in an interview with Lebanon’s New TV station.

I just wanted to pass this along to you.

Leftywood

Last week I sat down to watch two of the latest releases on DVD. The first of the two was Final Destination 3. In my opinion, it might have been the better of the last two in the series. I know no one comes here to read movie revues and neither movie is worth taking the space here, at last not today. The second, V for Vendetta might at some point in the future. “Vendetta” was political in nature so I have no problem with it having a political viewpoint as long as its part of the plot.

I guess by now you have an idea where I am going with this. Let's start with Final Destination 3. One point in the movie nearly ruined it for me. During the funeral scene some guy begins to shout about how only the good die while people like Dick Cheney who is guilty of war atrocities still walks. Nowhere in the movie did the plot lead to this point. This was just an outright anti GOP statement. The statement was typical fact-less rhetoric.

Terrorist Who?

Today is a good day in the world. We avoided a tragedy on the scale of 9/11. The UK unraveled a plot to down 6 or so airliners. From there the news gets depressing. We learn there might be thirty more terrorist still free. Let's have hope that they find all these potential perpetrators.

This is where the real problems comes in, they won’t be able to search for the people properly. You see, it’s not politically correct to search for Middle Eastern Islamic fundamentalist. I don’t dare to speak for the United Kingdom who has done a wonderful job so far, but will they actually search for men, maybe woman, with brown skin? I think they will, but you won’t hear theirs, or our, medias report on this. Publicly you have to pretend the perpetrators have no skin color.

Today in airports across the USA and UK, teenage girls and 80-year-old women will be searched and forced to depart with their hygiene products. These people will not be searched because they might be dangerous, but because of the color of their skin. You see, they happened to have been born white. Once again you will see agents in airports search the above profiles, while passing by men of Arabic descent. We all know why, because if you search only the people that fit the profile of those that continuously try to kill us, you will be called a racist.

MILK

Today I learned a new acronym. I think I will dedicate this blog to all MILKs. A few conversations led me to the discovery of this new acronym. That is the topic of this post. Until now I was not aware just how this world was divided so radically left and right. The ongoing battle between Hezbollah and Israel is shedding new light on the ideological battle between the left and right.

Until now I thought I had this figured out. I knew in the USA how the left seemed to support terrorist, but I thought they just hated George W. Bush that much. I was completely wrong on that. They hate anyone that doesn’t have the same ideology as them. For most of my life I thought of myself as a liberal, so what happened? Did I change, or did the term itself change? Until now I just thought I had changed, but as of today, I think the term changed. I’m not so sure my beliefs are that much different now than they were when I was sixteen years old. I do feel I understand capitalism better, economics better, but this posting is not on those two things.

Misplaced Aid

There are a lot of misplaced good intentions around the world. We have Bono and his African aid. The man uses that to feel less guilty about being wealthy. If he wants to rid himself of that guilt, he should give away that wealth. There is no amount of charity which will solve many of the problem in Africa.

Then you have guilty nations. The United States is in the same category as Bono. The leaders and the left feel guilty because this is a prosperous nation. We are supposed to feel guilty for nations like Mexico, and continents like Africa.

I ask, how long have we been pouring money into these problems? The answer is decades. You might ask, what else is there to do? We could invade them, but that wouldn’t work either. People need the desire to improve themselves.

Flashlight Scam

You have seen them advertised on television for only $19.95. You can, of course, find them in flea markets for much less. I am not sure what brand I have. I’ll look up the information later. The point is, they are a scam. After getting poor results, no apparent charging, I disassembled two of them.

First, let me point out I have over 30 years in the electronic industry. I was dubious of the type of energy storage the light used. My mind told me this couldn’t work as advertised. I was right. Their claims are not just outrageous, but they are down right lies.

After having problems with the flashlight not charging, I finally took time to disassemble one. To my surprise, I found two button type batteries. Maybe I wasn’t that surprised. I had expected wafer capacitors or something similar.

Child Abuse or Religious Rights?

We sometimes forget that the world is made up of customs and religions different from our own region. Every once in a while someone comes along and reminds you there are differences, sometimes, huge differences.

The other night I met some people that reminded me of one of those differences. At first it was mild amusement, and then shock. I happened across two girls that were raised in Catholic schools. The scandals of the church has reached every one of us. We know of the wide spread abuse of boys in the church, but what of the girls?

The church, it seems, has a different idea for the punishment of girls and boys. Boys are often whipped or expelled, while girls seem to have only one punishment, kneeling. You might think kneeling is a light punishment. One example of which I know, a girl was forced to kneel for three days in front of the Virgin Mary statue. A day in this instance was from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with only the usual school breaks, dinner etc…

Attack On Mainland America

From the heading you might think this is going to be about terrorism. On the contrary, it’s about an invasion, the invasion of America, not only by Mexican immigrants, but also by the Mexican army. Are you aware our border guards are having shootouts with the Mexican army?

Just this week there were uniformed Mexican soldiers that were trying to smuggle drugs into the United States. They were confronted by US border guards, and the border patrol was fired on. The Mexican army used 60 caliber machine guns to fend off our border patrol. Eventually, the Mexican soldiers fled back across the border and out of jurisdiction of the border guards.

I doubt anyone believes the Mexican soldiers were authorized by their government to cross the border. That does not excuse the Mexican government from liability. These incursions into our country are just as illegal as are the millions of immigrants pouring across the border. There have been several hundred of these incursions, so it’s not an isolated incident.
